As I reflect on being a teenager, the uncertainty of my future causes me agony. With what is going on in the world applies more pressure to me as COVID-19 has caused chaos in the world. Every time you turn on the TV all you hear about is the new COVID cases and another COVID related death. Businesses are closing and people are financially struggling. For me this has caused compassion and hurt for the people of Bermuda. I find myself listening to music that provides knowledge about our existence, musical artist like Dababy help me think and reflect on things that are going on in other’s lives and how they came up from their struggles. It makes me reflect on the injustice police brutality. It also makes me think of how young black teenagers are influenced by drugs and gangs. This causes me agony also because I’ve had personal experiences with the influence of gangs and drugs.
