Question Mark

Considering the theme “Hindsight is 2020”, I thought of the year 2020 and how the world got turned upside down by the pandemic. While we were in lockdown, I found myself looking out the window admiring nature and the calmness of less noise, people and traffic. I was inspired to paint a scene where the outside world is simple and thriving. I remember holding on to this peacefulness to keep me in a positive state of mind. You will notice that the rainbow and the sun come together to create a question mark. For me it signifies not knowing what was coming next, the uncertainty of our future. I am hoping that this artwork will prompt the viewer to ponder any question they have in their own mind about our times.
