Each school is guaranteed 3 spaces at the GALLERY SHOW. All students, P8, M2 to Grade 13 /IB /S4, can participate WITHIN their school. The art teacher will choose the BEST 3 students to represent their school.

If a school has a middle and a high school under one roof, the school will have a 4th, 5th and 6th reserved place available. However, these 4th, 5th and 6th spaces are reserved ONLY FOR AN M2 AND M3 STUDENTS .

ALL students will then submit their application, consent and future theme forms, co-signed by the art teacher and their parents/ guardians..

ALL Middle School Student Applications will ONLY be submitted for ONLINE People’s Choice Vote NOT for formal review by the 3 Judges. Middle school students’ artwork will be displayed in the Gallery Show.

Home school students have 10 reserved spaces. If more than 10 home school students apply, then the artwork will be PRE-JUDGED. The BEST 10 will join the other students for the gallery show of student’s artwork in December.

This is an island wide inter-school art competition.

TWO Dimensional ( 2-D) Artwork

Drawing – Pastel, Ink, Marker, Graphite Pencil, Colored Pencil, Charcoal

Painting– Acrylic, Oil, Watercolor, Encaustic

Artwork from 11 x 14 inches up to 24 x 24 inches

Total Composition
Comprehension of Use of Media
Elements of Art – line, value, form, shape, light source, color, textures and space /composition
Principles of Design – balance, variety, contrast, unity, emphasis, movement, pattern and proportion
